This Ordinance makes provisions for the prevention of copyright piracy using the medium of optical discs. It sets out a statutory licensing scheme for manufacturers of optical discs in HKSAR and makes provisions for optical discs manufactured in HKSAR to be marked with an assigned manufacturer identification code.
