Who are we?

The portal Uaipit.com was born from a research project between the University of Alicante (via the Department of Philosophy of Law and International Private Law) and the Foundation Retevision (now Foundation Auna). At present Uaipit.com is a part of the research project of the Area of Private International Law of the University of Alicante “Law in the Service of Society and Business in the Information Society”, financed by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Technology.

1. Manuel Desantes Real. Head of the Private International Law Department at the University of Alicante and Ex-Vice President of the EPO of the European Patent Office (EPO). He was recognized with the first UAIPIT Distinction of Honour at the I Uaipit International Congress.


2. Alberto Casado Cerviño. General Director of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office. Appointed as a Member of Honor in the II UAIPIT International Congress.


3. Paul Maier. President of the Boards of Appeal at the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (O.H.I.M.). Appointed as a Member of Honor in the III Congreso Internacional Uaipit.
