Injunctions are the most powerful weapon to cease or prohibit definitely illegal commercial practices related to electronic transactions within in the Internal Market. Business and individuals may bring an injunction against many activities and commercial practices related to electronic commerce such as: practices contraries to consumer protection laws, unfair trade practices, intellectual property infringements, etc. It is of great importance for commercial participants to be informed about the legal remedies at their disposal to effectively combat unlawful commercial practices. This, indeed, contributes to increase legal certainty and confidence within the Internal Market.
