EU seeks to limit use of data by Internet companies

The increased use of customer data by Internet companies, such as, Google or Facebook, is leading the EU to program measures for strengthening the privacy policies of said companies. These new measures aim to oblige companies to obtain from their customers further authorization for the use and treatment of their information. This is not a minor issue since fines for non-compliance can reach the 2% of annual turnover.
