The principal aims of the CNC are the following: first, to exercise police power over telecommunications and postal services; second, assist the Secretariat of Communications in the updating and drafting of the Fundamental Technical Telecommunications Plans and in the promulgation of general regulations; and third, assist the Secretariat of Communications in its national representation before international entities.
