Launched in Alicante The European Observatory against Piracy

The OHIM has launched the European Observatory on the Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights. The Observatory is intended to be a centre of information and data related to intellectual property and IP rights infringement. Its objective is to monitor, analyze and interpret the information and to inform about the results, and disseminate them.  should focus its energy on core functions such as data conllecting and monitoring analysis and interpretation of information, and reporting and disseminating results. The OHIM will begin to work on public awareness in the field of  intellectual property rights and promote the dissemination of good practices in this area.
