Cloud Computing in Advocacy

19.06.2012

Cloud Computing is a reality in the field of legal practice.  Amongst the approximately 135 thousand lawyers in Spain, there are an increasing number of professionals who are using this information storage due to the advantages that Cloud Computing offers: one may access the data from anywhere with the only requirement of an Internet connection, and its use helps saving costs of equipment and specialized programs. However, the risks involved in using this  kind of technology are also relevant when facing a possible infringement of data protection or disappearance of the web site where they were stored. The expert or lawyer who uploaded the information and the Cloud Computing Company are also responsible for processing the data obtained in the juridical practice and the possible infringements.
