EUIPO and Italian authorities celebrate Enforcement Database training and fight against counterfeiting

19.09.2016

On 14 and 15 September in Rome, the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the Italian Customs hosted a training event regarding the Enforcement Database and customs' protection of intellectual property rights.

Approximately 100 representatives of Italian public administration and law enforcement authorities, as well as members of the Italian industry, right holders and associations assisted this training session.  One of the highlights to this event was the presentation of the project Glifitaly: a mobile application which confirms product's authenticity.

In addition, there was also a workshop aimed at IPR holders, mainly focused on how to file applications for action under the EU Regulation no. 608/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 June 2013, concerning customs enforcement of intellectual property rights.
