This Global Congress, organized by WIPO, has become a key international forum for shaping strategies to tackle the threats posed by the worldwide trade in counterfeit products, which are shared by governments, businesses and creators across the world. The Congress will bring together top government and private sector players to pool their experience, enhance international coordination and cooperation, and seek more effective solutions in pursuit of their common goals of combating counterfeiting and piracy. The Congress will be held on 30-31 January 2007 in Geneva, Switzerland.
