Participants of the course will receive introductory information related to trade marks law. The evolution of a registration procedure before the Institute of Intellectual Property will be followed, from the deposit to the grant of a Swiss mark. The international registration will be also presented from the framework of the protection systems abroad, and an outline of the opposition procedure will be provided. This course module will be held on the 4th October (in French) and on the 11th October 2007 (in German) at the Federal Institute of Intellectual Property in Berne, Switzerland.
