The aim of the conference is to attempt to link past, present and future by exploring the grounds, structure and dynamics of the complex body of rules that deal with teaching and research. Does a coherent system underlie the entire field known by the common name of intellectual property, or has it become utterly fragmented? To what extent, and where, must we be ready to accept a more differentiated approach? Which tools does the law provide for adjustment to different needs and circumstances, and how much flexibility exists under national and international norms to employ these tools? Can One Size Fit All? All these questions will be answered at the ATRIP Congress. The Congress will be held on the 26-27 June 2008, in London, United Kingdom.
