The Mediation Workshop will be to provide training for parties and mediators on the mediation process, with focus on specific mediation techniques and on the role of the mediator as a neutral, independent and impartial intermediary between the parties. The Workshop will include a general presentation of the WIPO Mediation Rules, as well as interactive sessions about the different steps in mediation and the mediator’s techniques.
The Arbitration Workshop will be to provide training of a practical nature for parties in arbitration and for arbitrators. The training will focus on the main principles of international commercial arbitration law and practice, with particular reference to the practical case application of the WIPO Arbitration Rules and WIPO Expedited Arbitration Rules in intellectual property and technology disputes.
Both workshops will be conducted by experienced international mediators and arbitrators and they will be held on November 6 and 7 of 2014 in New York, USA
